Builder Quits After Being Forced To Take Down England Flags
Friday 13th June 2014
A builder has quit his job after being forced to remove two England flags he put up on a block of flats.
Gordon McGiffen, 46, displayed the flags on scaffolding at a new building in Bermondsey to show his support at the World Cup. But bosses at the site ordered him to remove them.
With patriotism reaching heights ahead of England's World Cup opener, more and more St George's Crosses are appearing across London. So is this patriotic or tacky?
