Broderick Reprises Ferris Bueller For TV Ad

Friday, 27th January 2012 16:13

Matthew Broderick has teased die-hard Ferris Bueller fans by reprising his role as the beloved character in a, very brief, Super Bowl advert.

The actor hasn't played the role from the hit movie Ferris Bueller's Day Off in 26 years.

The ad shows Broderick saying a famous quote from the film, with a slight variation on the words.

In the new clip he says: "How can I handle work on a day like today?".

In the original picture he says: "How can I possibly be expected to handle school on a day like this?"

It ends with 2/5/12, the date of the Super Bowl.

The description of the video on YouTube says: "We hate to be such a tease, but on a day like today, we just have to.

"Stick it out until the Super Bowl, or take a 'day off' on Monday and catch the big reveal."

Although it has promoted much speculation among fans of the John Hughes movie hoping for a sequel, according to reports, it is only an advert for the Japanese car maker Honda.
