Police have issued an appeal for witnesses to help them identify four people who assaulted a bus driver in Newham.

The incident happened on Sunday (27th April) at around 1:50pm at Stratford Bus Station, after a scuffle began between four passengers and the driver of a Route 25 bus.

The four people in question got off the bus, with one spitting through the driver's window, after which they started punching and kicking him before leaving the scene.

The driver was later treated at hospital for a concussion, and police are now looking for help identifying his attackers.

The four suspects are said to be two black men around 20-25 years-old, one man of mixed race, described as being of slim build and a black woman around 18-20 years old.

Any witnesses or anyone with information about the incident are asked to call the Metropolitan Police Service Workplace Violence Unit on 0776-624-8505 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800-555-111.
