What Is PM's Secret To Beating Clegg At Tennis?
Monday 12th May 2014
David Cameron has admitted that he got coaching from former British number one Andrew Castle to help him beat Nick Clegg.
The Prime Minister admitted that, while his Deputy's technique is far better, but he has triumphed both times they have competed.
He told LBC: "He's got very good style. Anyone watching us having a knock-up would think that Clegg will win that one.
"But I do sometimes have tennis lessons. It's one way of keeping fit. I have actually had help from someone just down the corridor who I just saw [Andrew Castle, who works on LBC's sister station Smooth].
"I have. I come out on the radio. Only a few times I have to admit. He's quite good at tennis. He has some quite punishing routines that he puts you through, so that's probably helped a bit."
Nick Ferrari asked whether he could be ballboy next time they played, to which the Prime Minister replied: "Well, that would be a sight!"
