Five Banned From West End
Five convicted criminals have been banned from the West End and part of Camden - ahead of the Christmas party season.
Westminster Council have secured ASBOs against them which restrict their movements - banning them from the whole of the West End and a large part of Camden - for five years.
The council says they've committed more than 500 crimes - including stealing phones and purses, shoplifting, and carrying offensive weapons.
Commenting on the round of ASBOs, Cllr Nickie Aiken, Westminster City Council’s cabinet member for community protection, has labelled the five a "menace", "intimidating visitors and local people and also proving a blight on businesses.
“We see the ASBOs as a substantial victory which will help us clear central London of these undesirable characters once and for all, as part of our ongoing work to clean up the West End."
Wayne Sang's previous offences include theft, drugs, assault and public order offences.
Under the ASBO the 37 year old is banned from: entering the West End and parts of Camden; possessing drugs paraphernalia or controlled drugs; using threatening, aggressive or obscene language or behaviour.
