10 downing stIf the Prime Minister decided he didn't like the colour of the front door of 10 Downing Street, is he allowed to change it?

Answer: 10 Downing Street is a listed building, so the Prime Minister cannot change the colour of the door without permission from the Department of Environment. It it's Grade II-listed, you can change the inside but not the outside. If it's Grade I-listed, then you can't change anything without permission.
