Answer: We had an expert on from the British Lung Foundation. The problem comes when you inhale the volcanic dust particles. The danger is that the particles of glass and rock would damage your lungs. It would have an effect on you, but it’s hard to know exactly what that effect would be. But it’s very unlikely to kill you.
