As parents find out whether their children have got into their first choice secondary schools Nick asks is the system working?
He spoke to Martina Learmont from Brixton who put three schools down but did not get any of them - meaning her daughter will have to go to a school miles away.
Nick also spoke to Katherine Birbalsingh, author of 'To Miss with Love' a book that talks about the reality of state education today, she's looking to open her own free school in South London.
