First Month Of Cycle Hire Scheme

350 thousand journeys were made on the Mayor's cycle scheme in it's first month.

Boris Johnson has told LBC the hire initiative has exceeded expectations, with 68,000 Londoners becoming registered members so far.

But the Mayor's admitted that tourists and non-members won't be able to use the cycle hire scheme until the end of the year.

He's said they've been taken aback by the demand so far and the process of opening up the scheme is now more difficult.
