Got a car? Good. P&O Ferries and Seafrance have plenty of availability at £70 return for a car and its occupants from Dover to Calais - including many sailings on Friday and Monday (though there’s a spike in prices on Monday afternoon/early evening). Once there, you need drive no longer than an hour to find beautiful seaside resorts such as Wimereux and lovely inland villages.
