Five Top Winter BBQ Recipes

bbq smlBrian George, President of the National Barbecue Association, told Tom Parker Bowles that just because it’s winter, it doesn’t mean you have to stop barbequing. He reveals his five favourite recipes for a winter BBQ.

1) Grill a burger, slice it, put it into a warmed wrap with cheese and salad.

2) Take a chicken goujon, add a sundried tomato strip, wrap it in pancetta and put over the grill. Put in a warmed wrap and add a dollop of mayonnaise.

3) Grill some sardines with drizzle of olive oil, a sprinkle of salt and parmesan grated on top.

4) Seabass works very well on a barbeque. Brush the seabass with olive oil to stop it sticking to the grill. Once grilled, sprinkle with basil and thyme.

5) Try this excellent kebab. Mix of lamb, pork and beef mix (two parts lamb to one of pork and beef), add red onion, chilli, seasoning, olive oil and breadcrumbs. Mould it together and grill those – that tastes phenomenal.

Remember – you want an even heat throughout the barbeque and whatever you do, no flames!
