Gang Violence Top Met Police Concern

The man in charge of the Mayor's policing strategy says tackling youth violence in London is still his number one priority. 

A former gang member has told LBC 97.3 just how easy it is to buy a gun in the Capital, saying it is as simple as "topping up your phone".

Jermaine Lawlor is now working with the MET Police in helping young people involved in gangs. He told us there is no glamourous side to gangs.

It comes as Scotland Yard are finalising their new strategy on tackling gang crime - details of which will be published next week.
