Police are appealing for information after a grandfather was murdered in Notting Hill.
Fifty-nine year old Tony Charlery died in Portobello Road at around 00.45am on Saturday 30th August, after being stabbed in the street shortly before midnight.
A post-mortem gave the cause of death as a stab wound to the neck.
He had gone to the Mau Mau bar alone and had only been there for a short time when he was stabbed as he tried to leave the venue and run away from his attackers.
The murder investigation is being led by Detective Chief Inspector Nicola Wall of the Homicide & Major Crime Command.
DCI Wall said: "I appeal to anyone who knows the identity of the persons involved to call detectives. Tony was a local man and a much loved grandfather. His family are devastated by his death in such a brutal way.
"As I believe the two suspects to be local men, I especially appeal to the Notting Hill community for help."
