The 2010 General Election will see a new constituency for Hammersmith - and it's going to be one of the main battlegrounds for the election.
As a result of boundary changes the two existing constituencies of Hammersmith & Fulham and Kensington & Chelsea will be replaced by three new parliamentary seats.
Current MP
Greg Hands (Conservative)
Due to the boundary changes, Greg Hands will contest the new seat of Chelsea and Fulham at the next election.
Candidates
Shaun Bailey (Conservative)
Born in North Kensington into a black working class family, Shaun was educated at Henry Compton School and South Bank University. He is a Director of MyGeneration, a youth charity, and a research fellow for the CPS.
Andrew Slaughter (Labour)
The current MP for Ealing, Acton and Shepherd's Bush. Born in 1960 in London, Andrew is a Barrister specialising in criminal law. A former leader of Hammersmith and Fulham council, he contested the Uxbridge by-election in 1997 and was first elected in 2005.
Merlene Emerson (Liberal Democrat)
Born in Singapore and educated at Kings College, London, Merlene is a former corporate lawyer. She contested West Central in 2008 GLA elections.
Rollo Miles (Green)
Born in 1974 in London. Rollo was educated at Chelsea school of Art and works in property.
Vanessa Crichton (UKIP)
Currently representing Ealing, Acton & Shepherd's Bush, Vanessa is also the Chairman of UKIP West London.
