Harrow Couple Charged With Human Trafficking

A Romanian couple living in North West London have been charged with human trafficking offences.
The husband and wife are accused of arranging for an 18-year-old woman to travel to London and then forcing her into prostitution.
Marius Ciubotariu, 30 and of
Magnolia Court, Harrow has been with four counts of rape; trafficking into the UK for sexual exploitation; trafficking within the UK for sexual exploitation; controlling prostitution and possessing false documents with intent.
Andreea Ciubotariu, 26, was also charged with two counts of rape; trafficking into the UK for sexual exploitation; trafficking within the UK for sexual exploitation and controlling prostitution.
They will both appear in custody at Hendon Magistrates' Court today, Friday, 22 August.
They were arrested following an investigation by the Met's Human Trafficking and Kidnap Unit.
