LBC has obtained footage of the dramatic moment armed police stormed a building in Manchester in the wake of Monday’s bombing.

Armed police and members of the armed forces descended on an apartment close to Piccadilly station in Manchester city centre on Wednesday afternoon.

The address in Granby Row is part of the investigation into Monday night’s suicide attack at the Ariana Grande concert at the city’s arena.

One eyewitness told LBC: “There was a lot of armed police stood outside the front door and then a load of armed police started piling out the main door.

“One of them had a battering ram and I have seen three or four people in army uniform as well.”

The bombing at the Manchester Arena claimed the lives of 22 people, including children.

The attack has led to Britain’s threat level to be raised to its highest in almost 10 years.

More than 900 soldiers have been deployed on to the streets in response.
