The First Things Donald Trump Will Do As President

9 November 2016, 15:22

America has spoken and Donald Trump is the President-elect of the USA. Here's the first five things he will do when he is in the White House.

Tax Cuts

Donald has promised “a major tax cut” for Americans.

However, he hasn’t said exactly how he will make up the shortfall in tax revenues that will result from the cuts, so the deficit (currently at $587,000,000,000) will grow.

Obamacare

Bye bye to Barack Obama's hard-fought healthcare plan. Trump has promised his first act in office will be to get rid of it.

The Wall

Perhaps his most (in)famous election pledge, Donald says he will build a “really big wall” along the border with Mexico to keep out illegal immigrants.

Trump claims it will be a “great, great wall” and that it’ll “only” cost $12 billion. However, experts say the true cost would be closer to $25 billion.

Abortion

Trump’s abortion stance has changed a number of time, but he’s now formed an anti-abortion coalition.

His campaign says he will ban public funding for abortion procedures.

USA & Russian: Best Of Friends

Trump’s fondness for Russian president Vladimir Putin is well documented and regularly praises him.

He says that if he wins the election, he will meet with Putin before his inauguration.

Jail For Hilary Clinton?

Victory could see Trump jail his political opponent. In the second debate he threatened to jail Hilary Clinton over her use of a private email server.

He said: “If I win, I am going to instruct my attorney general to get a special prosecutor to look into your situation.”
