How do rechargable toothbrushes charge?

Question

I have a rechargeable toothbrush and when you put it in the charging station, how does it charge? Thereís no direct connection.

Answer: Itís an electro-magnetic field. You donít need a connection as the coil in the toothbrush goes around the basestation and it charges

Answer: Iím afraid James is right. It is electromagnetic induction. You;ve got a coil in the toothbrush and a magnet in the base. The coil goes around the magnet and charges the battery.
