When you build a ship on a slope, how do they get everything level and plum?

Answer: The keel will be a the ground level, but you'd have more supports at the front to make it level. So it's not actually built on a slope. It's similar to when a ship goes into a dry dock, they block it up in the shape of the hull, so it will be level for working on.
