How do they make sun cream with different factors?

When the sun comes out, how do they work out the factors on sun cream? What is done to it to make the cream a higher factor?

Answer: Itís a factor that tells you by what factor how long you can then by exposed to UV light. So factor 2, it takes you double the time. A factor 20 means you take 20 times longer to get burnt. They use mineral to block out the UV light so the cream is diluted to make each factor.
