How does your body know it's full up of blood in a transfusion?

Question

If you need a blood transfusion, how do they know when the body is full up of blood?
Mark, Marble Arch

Answer

** Definitive **
Name: Omar, Lewisham
Qualification: Worked in A&E
Answer: Doctors have estimates for how much blood a patient would be expected to lose with the injuries you have. This is then adjusted depending on how your body reacts, including how much you urinate. If you have too much, you will urinate out the additional liquid.
