If a spaceship was travelling at the speed of light, would hitting a grain of sand damage the craft? How small does a non-damaging object have to be for a spaceship?

Answer: You can’t travel at the speed of light and contain mass.  So you couldn’t hit a dust particle. The theory of relativity means that you can’t make any mass travel at the speed of light.
