Is arrest of Twitter councillor an over-reaction?

A Conservative Councillor was arrested after calling on newspaper columnist Yasmin Alibhai Brown to be "stoned to death". Nick wants to know whether that was an over-reaction?
He spoke to Yasmin, who said she had been mortified by the comment and fully supports the police action, while Technology commentator Bill Thompson says you have to be careful about what you say online, discussing the Twitter Joke Trial.
