Jail Sentences To Be Reviewed

The Attorney General is going to review the sentences of two teenage members of a so-called happy slapping gang who killed a grandfather in Tooting, to assess whether their punishments were too lenient.

16 year-old Leon Elcock, and Hamza Lyzai, who's 15, were detained for four-and-a-half years and three-and-a-half years respectively after they attacked Ekram Haque last August.

Mr Haque cracked his head after being hit to the ground, suffering irreparable brain damage.
