...jo losses, bad times for the private sector?
Virginia Eastman a principal with executive search firm, Heidrick & Struggles joined me to review the week’s news. Of course pay cuts, budget cuts and job losses are affecting the private sector… yet the public sector seems oblivious. With the news that RBS is spending £300,000 on Wimbledon corporate entertainment… a sensible move in the current climate? Whilst I don’t want to see the end of such sponsorship and entertaining there is a time and a place. I am not sure that a business that would be bust, but for the government stepping in, should really be spending money in this way.
