Cat owners cleverer? Pah!

Dog owners rule, we all know that!
Morality is where we started this morning. Whilst John Terry’s behaviour is by no means acceptable, I wonder why he’s been fired. Although his response to the crisis, and the fact that it’s all about him and that he wants to be captain again perhaps demonstrates his lack of moral compass. But he’s a footballer. I simply think we have double standards. In normal places of work there are many people who have demonstrated a questionable moral standing. Indeed the line between morals and ethics was a very important one to distinguish but I struggle with a moral attitude required by our press when most of the nation seems not to care too much. The financial markets have not been in good shape this week. Mostly because of worries over PIGS (not very kind!) - Portuguese, Irish, Greek and Spanish economies. I asked you whether we were better off out of the Euro. Many of you seem to think so – not necessarily for the right reasons. However I will have Justin Urquhart Stewart from Seven Investment Management with me tomorrow on Business and Property who should be able to give you some guidance on the tricky times ahead. That’s from 5pm on Sunday afternoon. James Hartigan suggested Youth In Revolt as his movie of the week (he panned Invictus). With news that the swine flu epidemic cost us £1 billion and drugs companies are set to make £4 billion profit, I just wonder whether we got the response right. Has taking the action suggested by the WHO (World Health Organisation) blown our respect for professionals? I also asked you about your favourite sandwiches. What a, um, interesting and eclectic range of ideas you sent through. Like Pippa who said this “My daughter likes weird sandwiches, the worst of which has to be lemon curd and potato salad!! And I received another recommendation for beetroot and feta, and another for banana and honey. YUK!!! And we finished with the news that cat owners are more intelligent than dog owners. Well. What a lot of rubbish! Although it did inspire some hilarious discussions. Oh and this link from Mark http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b8qG7UUbRmE  and also the following  email: “James you are wrong, cats are very special. My cat understands every thing I say. There are many intelligent species in the universe. They are all owned by Cats.” I think that says everything you need to know. I am off to walk Barnaby the DOG! Do join me tomorrow from 5pm for Business and Property
