Who will look after the economy best? That is going to be the big question when it comes to election times. Was it the tears or improving economic conditions that are helping Gordon Brown and Labour in the polls? Or. Is it that David Cameron and George Osborne don’t seem to be able to convince you that they could do any better?
Whatever the outcome the situation is dire. With £4.3 billion borrowed in January alone that’s £60 for one month for every man, woman and child in the UK. It is very serious indeed and, quite frankly, whoever wins the next election is going to have a tough time bringing the economy back under control and encouraging it back to growth.
