Stephen Robertson from the British Retail Consortium joined me to discuss the big business news stories of the week. With their manifesto for the government of ideas for the forthcoming budget to help retailers – Stephen had plenty to say and if you are someone who works in the retail industry you might want to check out their website www.brc.org.uk
As for the other stories – with David Cameron advocating “change”, I asked if you thought it was enough. Certainly there is a big fight coming along as the election approaches. Who is better for business and who do you support? As the election approaches you will have to make up your mind.
And in the second hour Miles Shipside the commercial director for www.rightmove.co.uk joined me to answer your property questions. Is the market going to rise in 2010? Are we likely to see the continuation of the market recovery? With caution he thinks the market will continue to rise but it’s dependant upon the economy, interest rates and also sentiment.
