In my opinion, the situation in Iran just took a turn for the worse. We’ve had an eye on what’s happened in the country since the elections a week ago, but this afternoon’s events just take the biscuit. What right has the supreme leader to attack our country? Why is he taking umbrage with us, and calling us evil? I’m glad the Foreign Office are acting on this, though less impressed that the best Iran could provide was their charge d’affairs to answer our questions.
And just don’t get me started on Transport for London. I cannot believe that 15 managers there earn more than our Prime Minister. I’m not sticking up for Gordon Brown after the expenses fiasco and the rest, but surely the leader of our country is worth more than some managers at a transport company? Not of all of you agree with me, some of you arguing the staff at TfL do a good job and should be rewarded accordingly. Try saying that one in the meeting with the RMT over their pay and conditions.
And my mate Christopher Biggins joined me in the studio at the end of the show today. He’s doing my job, and DJing at the West End live event this weekend. Well, I say Djing – he’s compere. Should make an interesting few days…
I’m off next week, but Petrie Hosken will be in my seat on Monday. In the meantime, download the podcast at lbc.co.uk.
