James Max in for James Whale

Do we need a public enquiry in to the Iraq war, are you facing retirement without a pension, and what's happened to the Olympic budget?

It is extraordinary that despite a pledge for openness, that Gordon Brown has sought to keep the inquiry into the war in Iraq behind closed doors. As far as I can see, the more open the better. We went to wart and many of you didn’t want to go to war at the time, many of you did not wish to go against the UN and many of you were not keen on the financial and human costs. Put simply, I think it should be held publicly. However the result on the House of Commons shows that the government have pushed through their will that the inquiry will in fact be held in private. Oh dear.

Talking of oh dear, just how can £100 million of money be lost in an accounting black hole at the LDA? Is it disappointing to you that we have won the opportunity to host the 2012 Olympic games, yet the government and those appointed to run the process seem to be unable to get the budget right and stick to it.

Talking of wasting money… At least £30,000 for a till receipt from Morrisons. Oh dear.

Anyway, I shall be back tomorrow from 4pm
