Big news broke just before I went on air this afternoon - John Terry has been dropped as England captain after allegations he had an affair. Manager Fabio Capello made the decision after a 12 minute meeting at Wembley. He says it's in the best interests of the team - most of you agreed...but, is this the right decision? Does it really matter what goes on in someone's private life?
In other news...dangerous dogs bred illegally are being sold to strangers in London pubs for about £250, according to the MP for Battersea. Martin Linton said many of the dogs, mostly pitbulls and Staffordshire bull terriers, were trained to be used as weapons by gangs. He called for tough new laws, including a new minimum age for dog ownership. What should the minimum age be to own a dog?
We also heard how school staff will be able to qualify as teachers without formal training under a new scheme. Do you mind someone teaching your child who hasn't been properly trained? The National Union of Teachers told me this isn't the same as full teacher training...
That's all for friday - join me again on monday from 4pm.
