Do you support the strikers or BA?

James Max sits in James Whale on Drive...

A busy Drive as I sat in for James Whale. With Baroness Uddin not being charged due to insufficient evidence I asked you whether we should have any non elected politicians. Whilst not complete consensus most of you conclude that the way things are cannot continue. I have a view that our unelected politicians have to go and so do the quangoes. The way in which public money has been misused is such that trust has gone. People cannot and should not be in positions or jobs from which they cannot be removed. Whilst the rules may be unclear it’s the spirit of them that have been broken by many more than Baroness Uddin.

The BA and the union Unite appear to be further away from a settlement than ever. Seven days of strikes and many of you are losing faith in the company that was once known as “The World’s Favourite Airline” certainly seems not to be at the top of your favourites list at the moment. Many of you changing your travel plans and the upshot of this? Continue and BA may not have any customers and will lose so much money that the jobs the unions are looking to save.

And apparently there has been a meeting between the London Assembly and utility companies to resolve the problem of works and congestion. I asked you to give your suggestions on how to relieve London’s congestion. You came up with plenty of good ideas… some of which sound great but will never happen. Like free public transport for all….

Oh and apparently the male moustache is making a return to fashion. How ghastly. I don’t think I could every bring myself to grow one. Would you?!

Anyway. I am back tomorrow for Breakfast from 7am
