Morning Team!
My thanks to all of you who sent in messages wishing me a happy birthday! Even the producer got me a card (which she left the price on - she really pushed the boat out at £2.50) and a present (a rose bush, with the most lethal thorns - anyone would think that she wants me to bleed to death and don't even get me started on the iced bun she practically rammed down my throat) but then again it's not everyday you turn 38, so I suppose I should just lap-up the attention when it's lavished!
As my birthday has fallen on March 17th (as it does most years), it coincides with St Patricks Day, who is of course the patron saint of Guinness. Happy St Patricks Day to all of our Irish listeners and congratulations to Robert of New Barnet, who was the worthy winner of this mornings competition, which was held to celebrate all things Irish! If Robert pipped you at the post then keep listening to LBC 97.3 throughout today, as there will be lots of other chances to win some fantastic goodies from the emerald isle.
I was joined by Steve Hargrave this morning and he of course went through the new music releases for us. He's still all over the place with jet-lag after covering the Oscars in LA, have a listen back to the podcast for our chat (although you won't be able to hear the tunes).
Right, the producer's taking me out for breakfast now (gulp), it'll either be a bit of dry toast in the canteen, or some of her home made muesli….she'll be buying me a kaftan next….
