Will Blair be judged by Chilcott

Plus married couple tax breaks.

David Cameron is making marriage a centrepiece of the coming election campaign. But by giving tax breaks to married couples- including gay ones – is he not merely enshrining in legislation discrimination against single mothers; what about widows; what about the women and men come to that who abandon the home, and leave one or the other to bring up the children on their own. Why should they be discriminated against. Are the Tories not just fighting an ancient old battle about single parents getting pregnant on purpose to get a council flat?

So is Tony Blair one of the most successful Prime Ministers of the 20th century. He won three general elections. He brought peace in Northern Ireland. There were genuine reforms in education. Or should be judged on the Iraq war. Did he mislead us? Did he lie about the reasons we went to war. Should Iraq be his legacy. What do you think?

And if the terror threat has been upgraded to severe just why is the Foreign Office cutting back spending on counter-terrorism projects in Pakistan where some many of the home grown suicide bombers have been radicalised.
