Schooling the children

overhauling the education system, giving prisoners the right to vote and abolishing daylight savings time

There are 935,000 16 to 24 year olds without any training, education, or employment. They are called Neets. So isn’t it time to shake-up the way children are taught in schools. Anthony seldom, the maser of Wellington College, wants the biggest shake-up in teaching in 30 years. Back to basics?  We have to give children a better understanding of the world and not just the ability to pass exams. Just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse. Now prisoner may be given the vote for the first time since 1880. it’s a plan by the European Court. The Lib Dem leader Nick Clegg backs the plan.  Ministers are dragging their feet. The Tories are opposed. So why should terrorists, who have tried to bomb and destroy British institutions, be given a vote alongside rapists and murderers. Or am I missing anything? My good friend Baroness Billingham came on as the chairman of the parliamentary campaign to extend British summer time. She says Gordon brown has agreed to a three year trial because he is fed-up of the Baroness moaning. Good on her. Why do we still turn the clocks back after all? Karen Kaye, the writer, and broadcaster, reviewed the papers. She knew Alexander McQueen for 20 years and gave us her own insights into his troubled mind.
