How do you do?
The EMA has been a really helpful fund for many students before it was scrapped. Now, Southwark council are bringin back a fund to help poorer students get through their studies. Lots of people think though that the EMA was only used to buy clothes, and other trendy items, but the reality is that text books cost money. If you're in a low income family, the extra money helps a lot.
We also spoke about Brick Lane, and the possibility it'll be Brickless and promoterless soon. Council officials want to tarmac The Lane so that it looks neater when the Olympics roll around as well as getting rid of those people that stand outside to tempt you in. Am I missing something here? Going to Brick Lane, being harassed in to eating a slight dodgy curry that you can still taste the next day is all part and parcel of the London experience! I've had some of the worst curries of my life in Brick Lane, and I'd hate to think that tourists are going to miss out on that.
I'll be back tonight
