LBC Poll: Boris Ahead Of Ken In Mayoral Race
An exclusive poll for LBC 97.3 shows Boris Johnson is ahead of Ken Livingstone in the race to be elected London Mayor next year.
The LBC 97.3 poll with the Evening Standard and ITV London Tonight gives the current Conservative Mayor 54% of the vote, a bigger winning margin than his previous victory in 2008.
Respondents stated that they trusted Ken Livingstone more on transport - mainly due to his pledge to cut fares by 5% - but backed Boris on the 2012 Olympics, crime, the economy and policing.
Our poll also found that one in five Londoners are planning to leave the capital during next year's Olympics, while two in five plan to work from home.
Meanwhile, 48% of respondents believe that force should be used to clearn the Occupy London protest camp outside St Paul's Cathedral.
Almost 50% also believe that London should follow Islington's example and introduce a 20mph speed limit on residential roads.
