LISTEN: Could Our Reporter Find The Cable Car 4?

Thursday 21st November 2013

New figures suggest only four people are regularly commuting using the Emirates Airline Cable Car.

A freedom of information request has found commuters using their Oyster cards on the £60m link between Greenwich Peninsula and Royal Docks have fallen from 16 to just four.

The cable line was built at a cost of £60 million with the Mayor Boris Johnson maintaining that it's value for money.

But Nick Ferrari wanted to track down the Cable Car 4 and so he set LBC 97.3 reporter Tom Swarbrick the challenge of finding them.

In scenes reminiscent of the classic movie "The Deer Hunter", Swarbrick dug out his black hat and set off out onto the streets. He became... "The Commuter Hunter".
