LISTEN: James O'B On 'Deportation Of The Poor'

Monday 5th November 2012

London councils are guilty of deporting the poor, according to James O'Brien.

The LBC 97.3 presenter was livid by news that more than half of London councils are relocating homeless families around the country - sometimes as far away as Manchester.

James labelled his practice the "deportation of the poor" and believes it could be the first step in the government moving towards a Victorian distribution of wealth.

He said: "I would love to find something in this story that doesn't look like a blithe Conservative policy designed to just get poor people out of sight.

"You know and I know that some of the people cheering loudest for an idea like this will be next on the list."

Listen to his amazing monologue below.
