curry large.jpgSakonis (Indian), Harrow - Cheap and Cheerful doesn't have to mean Cheap food. Kunall from Harrow says, 'If you don't mind sitting somewhere that reassembles a school lunch hall, and feeling that "if this place was any cheaper, they might as well pay you to eat" then you will enjoy your meal here. A pure vegeterian restaurant it may be, but it doesn't mean they don't know how to pour on the spice and make everything extremely tasty.'

Italiano Coffee Company (Pizzas), Goodge Street - Lovingly known as 'Icco' by it's fans, this is the place to get tasty hot pizzas tradditionally made that don't break the bank. Sarting at just £3.50 a pizza you can't really go wrong. Isabella from Putney says, 'Thin crusted with fresh vegetables and a small amount of cheese, Ecco is a great place for a quick cheap lunch if you're out and about in Fitzrovia/ Tottenham Court Road.'

The Lemon Tree (Thai and Malaysian), Covent Garden - This little pub is out of the way and gets missed by many passing tourists. As a result the freshly cooked dishes are fairly priced at around £6 each. The upstairs lacks personality in its decor but the friendly service and simple menu ensures fully and happy stomachs. Lizzie from Stoke Newington says, 'This is more than just a pub, it serves fantastic Thai food at lunch times. For about £5 you can have a steaming bowl of curry with rice that is served quickly by helpful staff.'

Wahaca (Mexican), Covent Garden - Serving traddional Mexican 'market food' this can be fairly compared to tapas. The brainchild of a former Masterchef winner, and winner of various 'Cheap Eats' awards this place is a victim of it's own sucess. They have a non-booking policy which means during their peak eating times you can be left waiting a while. Simon from New Malden says, 'It's fairly priced and you recieve complimentary jalepeno chilli seeds when you leave so you can grow your own!'

Ooze Risotto Bar (Italian), Goodge Street - This restaurant serves nothing but risotto but that really does work in its favor. They really do run their business by the motto, 'If you do something well, why try doing anything else?' It's very reasonably priced and is a good choice for a group of diners with different budgets. Tom from Achway says, 'The lunch time express menu holds 3 risottos at a cut from a la carte price of £7.25, and the portions are generous, even if the combinations are a little standard. The main menu has a variety of risottos, grills and salads mostly under £10.'
