London's Best Restaurants
Everyone looks for something different when they are eating out. Some people believe that a good restaurant is all about the food and the service is not as important but others think it the whole experience. A restaurants decor can add to the mood of a meal as well as the presentation of the food.
We have been looking at the reviews you have been leaving us on welovelocal and it seems that what can be 5 stars to one listener is not even one to another. Competition is tough in the food industry and it seems that it take quite a lot to impress you guys.
Famously fantastic eateries such as Le Gavroche in Mayfair are often listed as 'The Best' in London. Andy H from Turnham Green says, "You won't find better made French food than this in the UK. Desserts in particular set the standard, and most top UK restaurants regard the Roux Brothers pastry recipes as the definitive item. Prices are high in the evening, but at lunch there is a surprisingly reasonable lunch menu."
Another favourite is Pied A Terre in Soho. This French restaurant has 2 Michelin stars that it earned under previous chef Tom Aikens. Suzy G from Covent Garden says, "I've eaten at Pied à Terre and I can unreservedly say that it is one of the most fabulous restaurants I've been to. Intimate and decadent without being stuffy or pretentious, the food is some of the best I've had. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this as one of my favourite restaurants of all time."
Wahaca in Covent Garden may not be what you expect when talking about 'The Best' in London but it's hugely popular and has a massive 16 reviews written by you guys. Adam from Golders Green Says, "This place is definitely one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. Although it can be hard at times to get a table you can often only have to wait if you go earlier on in the evening."
As we said everyone has an opinion and Andy from Walthamstow thinks Aladin's down Brick Lane is the place to go. "Fantastic Food at a very reasonably price. It's also a BYO 'EVEN BETTER'. The only restaurant in Brick Lane that does not have to call out for customs unlike others. When you step in the Restaurant, you feel the ease and comfort. Staff are very friendly."
