London's Least Popular Tube Station Is...

Tuesday 23rd April 2013

Bank has been named the most hated Tube station in London.

Bank Station

The mazy station in The City was chosen for its confusing 10 exits and long, windy passageways between lines.

Linked to Monument by long underground corridors, slopes and escalators, the two stations are served by the Central, Northern, Circle and District lines, as well as the Docklands Light Railway.

Elephant & Castle station was the second most hated Tube station, followed by King's Cross and Oxford Circus.

Canary Wharf was the most popular tube station in the capital, according to the YouGov survey. Charing Cross was second and Baker Street third.

YouGov pollster Laurence Janta-Lipinski said: “While there isn’t a great deal of consensus as to what is the best station, what’s interesting is that Bank has clearly come out as the most disliked.

“Perhaps this poll will have Transport for London bosses asking how they can make it a more pleasant experience for customers.”
