The number 424 single-decker skidded off the road and crashed into the side of the bridge in South-West London at around 10.30 this morning.

Cyclist John Hale told LBC: "Itís lucky the whole bus didnít go over the edge.

"As I left a cyclist was helping the driver who looked pretty shaken up. It didnít look like anyone was seriously hurt - on the bus itself or any passers by."

The male bus driver and a female car driver have been taken to hospital with injuries, believed to be minor.
