Man Admits Punching Girl in Random Plaistow Attack

A man has admitted punching a teenage girl in broad daylight in an unprovoked attack in Plaistow.

The 16 year old fell to the floor following the attack
The 16 year old was walking along the High Street when she was punched in the back of the head by a man who had followed her from her home 500 metres away.

CCTV footage - released by police who were trying to track down the man responsible - showed how she was knocked unconscious and slammed to the ground.

She suffered bruising and broken teeth in the attack that happened just after midday on November 13.

Michael Ayoade, of Greengate Street, Plaistow, has pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm at Thames Magistrates Court.

Has been remanded in custody to appear at Inner London Crown Court on a date that has yet to be set.
