Man Hit By Bus In Croydon
A man has been taken to hospital by air ambulance after he was hit by a bus in Croydon.
It happened just after midday on Park Street at the junction with Park Lane.
He was still conscious when taken from the scene of the collision but his injuries have been described by police as life threatening.
A London Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: "We were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving a bus and a pedestrian just after midday.
"We sent one single responder in a car, two ambulance crews and the air ambulance to the scene.
"Staff treated a man, in his fifties, and took him to St George's Hospital accompanied by the air ambulance doctor."
Katharine Street and Park Street were still closed at 3pm.
