The knife was collected at an annual community led festival called Brixton Splash which aims to highlight the diversity of the area. The event itself appears to have gone forward without incident and drew large crowds into the area.
It is unclear whether any arrests were made; however, carrying such a weapon is subject to a maximum penalty of four years in prison and a fine of £5,000 for an adult.
