New Routemaster Breaks Down Already! Photo

The new Routemaster bus for London - launched by Boris Johnson on Friday - has already broken down!
The bus was spotted on the side of a motorway by eagle-eyed LBC listener Nilesh sitting in the hard shoulder of the M1, just past junction 9 near Dunstable - with hazard warning lights flashing.
TfL spokeswoman Isabel Dedring insisted that the bus was taking a scheduled stop - despite the fact that stopping on the hard shoulder without an emergency is illegal. They claim the bus is not designed to drive as far as Luton and therefore it needed a break. This is to keep the pollution as low as possible.
However, another listener who drove past the bus claimed that there was a yellow truck moving in front of the bus, ready to tow the bus away.
Nick Ferrari presented his Breakfast Show live from the bus on Friday and Mayor Boris Johnson launched it amid great excitement later in the day.
Boris Johnson even drove the bus around City Hall - you can see the video here.
Mr Johnson told Nick that the bus offered a new clean, green future for London buses - but they may be suffering from a few teething issues.
