Kay Burley Joins LBC: New Weekend Schedule
Tuesday 11th March 2014
Kay Burley is joining LBC to present a new Sunday morning show.
Every Sunday from 8am, Kay will team up with The Sunís Managing Editor Stig Abell as they tackle the major stories of the day and interview the biggest names in politics, business, culture and entertainment.
Kay is the longest-serving news presenter on British television and currently hosts Sky News every weekday afternoon.
Kay Burley said: "I'm delighted to be joining LBC. The timing is just right with an election coming up next year - we'll be putting politicians through their paces, and discussing the issues that matter to our listeners. I can't wait for Stig and I to get started."
It is part of a new weekend schedule on LBC, which includes the return of Andrew Pierce. The Daily Mail's Consultant Editor will be Leading Britain's Conversation in a new three-hour Saturday breakfast show from 7am.
And rejoice! There will be more Steve Allen at weekends. Following In Conversation With at 5am, Steve will be back on Sunday mornings from 6-8am, starting your day with the latest gossip from the papers in his inimitable way. In Conversation With will also be broadcast at 9pm.
Larry Lamb's popular show will be moved back an hour from 11am-2pm, while Petrie Hosken gets an extended show from 2pm-6pm.
Andrew Castle will leave LBC to join our sister station Smooth, but you will still hear him on LBC in the future.
The schedule will start from 22nd March.
