Now that Brooklyn vies with Manhattan for restaurants, music venues, shops and general hip factor, hotels are springing up in the second borough. Standard rooms at the minimalist, eco-friendly Nu Hotel, near the restaurant - and boutique-rich BoCoCa area, range from $149-$349 depending on season, but if you're travelling with a crowd, the Friends Suites, equipped with a queen and bunk beds are a good deal at just $100 more.
