Man Dies In Porsche Hit And Run In Balham

Police are investigating a suspected hit-and-run incident in Balham in the early hours of this morning, which left one man dead.

The incident occurred on Bedford Hill in Balham, south London not long after 10:00pm on Tuesday night. Emergency services were called and found an injured man in his 60s who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police later found a white Porsche 911, which was not reported stolen, abandoned nearby. A 51-year-old man also handed himself in at a south London police station and was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous by driving and failing to stop at the scene of an accident.

The area around the incident was sealed off last night but has since been re-opened. Police are now investigating the incident and ask anyone who has information about it to come forward.
